My hobby

My hobby is playing the violin. I have played the violin since I was 6 years old. I belong to Kumamoto Youth Symphony Orchestra. When I was 13 years old, I had the audition of the orchestra, and I passed it. I played a lot of tunes. In every summer,　orchestra have our concert, and we perform the Nutcracker of Chaikovskii with ballet. I enjoy it every year.

I was born in Kumamoto. Kumamoto is situated at the bottom of Japan. Kumamoto has many green fields and clear water. I have pride in my hometown.

My hobby is reading books. I read books, especially belles-letters. My favorite author is Yukio Mishima. I am interested in his aesthetic sense. I want to read American books in English. Please tell me some of your recommended books.

My other hobby is fashion. I read magazine, for example VOGUE, ELLE, and NYLON. Everyone of them is written by English too. So I will read them when I stay in America. I am interested in American high fashion and casual fashion. I want to study about them, and I also want to enjoy shopping. I want to go to thrift stores. I read about them in a magazine. I think that they are a wonderful system. I like old American character designs which are at used clothing and goods. I want to find them at thrift stores.

The most interesting thing of me is art. I love American pop art, especially Andy Warhol. I think that the theme and motif of his art makes new forms of art. I want to see not only drawn art but also sculptures and performance art.

I want to speak English well as soon as possible. And I want to chat about various things with you. Could you know about me? I want to get along with you. looking forward to seeing you.

ESCAPE
This is a comic book.
The prisoner tried to escape the prison. He succeed in escaping, but eventually is caught, and he is imprisoned again. However, he is undaunted. He plans to escape again.

I was interested in the relationship between the prisoner and keepers. It is described very friendly. I think that the prisoner is very foolish, and the keeper is too. Everyone is very funny. If there are only such people in the world, world peace may be realized.

Music

I like music. I always listen to Japanese old songs, Bossa nova, and classical music.
I like YUKI. She is very cute Japanese singer. I bought a CD at the first time when I was 12 years old. It's VA of Brazilian bossa. I was moved by the voice of Caetano Veloso.I like classical music too. My favorite composers are Rafmaninoff, Mahlar and Toru Takemitsu.

Three Billy Goats Gruff

Three goats knock down a troll who lives under a bridge.
I think that this book is very rhythmic. Small goat walks over the bridge, big goat walks, and very big goat walks. The simple evolution and refrain are very rhythmic.

I remembered that I have read this book in Japanese when I was a child. Japanese title is “Garagara-don of three goats”. “Garagara-don” means probably nothing. I guess that the author respected for the rhythmic sound of words, so the translator respected them too.

I was terrified at the troll.
But I feel proud now, because I can read this book without a fear.
