August 28th

I appeared on the stage of an orchestra. I belong to Kumamoto Youth Symphony Orchestra from 13 years old. A concert of the orchestra was held on August 28.
We played an overture to “The opera Iphigenia in Aulis” of Gluck, “Piano concerto No.3 of Prokofiev” and “Symphony No.2 of Sibelius”. I will introduce about the compositions on next post. In this post, I will introduce about my orchestra life.

I became a member of Kumamoto Youth Symphony Orchestra when I was a junior high school student. I took violin lessons when I was 6 years old. I took an audition on my violin teacher’s recommendation.
On the first year, I participated in trip for concert in Germany. We played No.5 of Beethoven and Violin concerto of Sibelius. We had interchanges with German Youth Orchestra at Hambrug.
On the year before last, we went to Germany. And we also went to the Czech Republic. We played Toru Takemitsu’s film music, Flute concerto of Mozart and No.4 of Schumann. The concert was held at the Bon University. Bon is Schumann’s hometown, so we went and prayed for the success of the concert to the tomb of Schmann.

7 years has passed since I became the member. I want to continue this activity, and I want to become good violin player for the sake of good music.
